I have a blood problem where the bone marrow doesn’t make enough cells and I had to receive regular transfusions to function. Doctor Levine called me at the height of the pandemic and told me of a medical article he read about a new medicine for my condition that would allow me to stop getting transfusions and improve my quality of life. He called my specialist and suggested the therapy and they started it for me. Today I am very well and am happy the blood used for me can now be used for someone else in need, thanks to Dr Levine.

Dr. Levine saved my life in 2016. During a checkup he compared my EKG that day to previous ones and things looked different.
He recommended that I see a cardiologist asap. I initially balked and was going to go home and work out as usual, but he insisted that I don’t. A week later I had double bypass surgery with my widow maker 90% blocked. If I hadn’t listened to his advice who knows how soon afterword I would have had a massive heart attack. It’s been over 8 years and I’m a very healthy 76-year-old patient that travels the world and works out routinely.

I recently had bad back pain and went to the ER and was diagnosed with a kidney stone and was referred to a specialist. Dr Levine guided my care to the ER and reviewed my chart there afterwards. The CT scan showed a growth on my kidney. I was discharged by the specialist for my kidney stone. Dr Levine called me to review the scan and got me to go back to the specialists. I ended up having surgery to remove an early kidney cancer, saving me from having had it grow more. I am feeling better now and following up on my condition. Who knows what would have happened if Dr Levine hadn’t been as diligent as he is. I owe him my life, he is a great doctor.

I have been coming to this practice since 2016 and had an office visit today. It reminded me that joining this practice was a very good decision. Dr. Levine is an excellent concierge doctor. I had struggled with medical issues having seen a number of specialists with no clear-cut diagnosis or plan of care.

Today marks the day that Dr. Levine diagnosed me and absolutely saved my life. My regular doctor was not available and the nurse called me back and said Dr. Levine overheard my conversation with you and didn’t like what he heard and offered to see you right away. He diagnosed my condition and called for an ambulance to take me to the hospital. In an effort to not upset me, Dr. Levine spoke to me calmly. After a CT scan, I was told I would not survive until the next morning, and I was prepped for surgery. I survived a procedure that only 1 in 20 survive and I am here today because of Dr. Levine. Dr. Levine, You have been on my mind a lot these last few days as today marks the 7th anniversary of the aortic dissection that you diagnosed for me and absolutely saved my life. Hundreds of times I have told the story of how I was feeling very weak with shortness of breath when I called the office to make a follow-up visit which was scheduled for the next day. I hung up the phone and didn’t give it a second thought but then your nurse called me back and said “Dr. Levine is covering and overheard my conversation with you and didn’t like what he heard and offered to see you right away”. It took but a nanosecond for me to agree and had a friend drive me to your office because I was so weak I couldn’t possibly drive and my wife was out of town.
You heard my dissection immediately and called for an ambulance to take me to the hospital. In an effort to keep me calm you jokingly said “The music you are hearing outside is for you” as I heard the sirens of the ambulance approaching the office. Upon reaching I was immediately told that I needed surgery and that they would do the procedure the next morning. After a CT scan I was told that I wouldn’t survive until the next morning and I was immediately prepped for surgery. Needless to say I survived a procedure that only 1 in 20 survive and I am here today because of you.
I wasn’t your patient, you barely knew me and yet you went out of your way to have your nurse call me back and offer to care for me. Who does that? No one else that I know!! My family and friends and all the other people that have heard this story are in disbelief and thrilled that doctors like you exist. I don’t think there are many that would have extended themselves for someone they didn’t know the way that you did but I am go grateful and lucky that you were there when you were and made the decision that you did. The world is a better place with you in it.
God has something planned for me, I know it but don’t know what it is yet. You were his agent, my guardian angel, and the only reason I’m still here, living life to the fullest and eternally grateful for the gift of life I was given. You have been and will always be in my prayers and I felt that on this memorable day, I would tell you again what a wonderful human being you are and that I wish you the best of the best that life offers.
